SARAH LASOYE

Sarah Lasoye is a poet and writer from London, based in Sheffield. Her debut chapbook Fovea / Ages Ago was published by Hajar Press in 2021, and her work has been featured in literary magazines including: Bath Magg, The New Statesman, Poetry London, And Other Poems, Wasafiri Magazine, & Basket Magazine. In 2025, she was shortlisted for the Wasafiri New Writing Prize (Poetry), and highly commended in the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem (Written). She has performed at venues and festivals across the UK including; Tate Modern, Southbank Centre, Barbican Centre, Goldsmiths CCA, Tottenham Literature Festival, Latitude Festival and Berwick Film and Media Festival. She facilitates writing workshops for schools, universities, cultural institutions and community groups, and is represented by Kat Aitken at Lexington Literary.
